Design-Build

Why we built Hendricks & Woodford as a design-build firm

Most home renovations pass through three separate companies. A designer plans the space, a general contractor manages the build, and a fabricator makes the surfaces. Each of those companies can be excellent at its own job, and the project can still go sideways in the handoffs between them.

Where projects lose time and money

A drawing is not a finished room. Somewhere between the design and the install, a dimension gets rounded, a material gets substituted, or a decision gets made on site that the designer never saw. When three companies are involved, nobody owns the whole result, so each problem turns into a conversation about whose job it was.

One team, from the first sketch to the final walkthrough

At Hendricks & Woodford, design, general contracting, and fabrication and installation sit on one team. The person who draws your kitchen works alongside the people who will build it, template it, and install it. Questions get answered once, in the same room, instead of being passed down a chain.

The part that sets us apart

We are a direct-source company. We hold our own vendor accounts, so we can work directly with the suppliers of your countertops, large-format porcelain, tile, and cabinetry. We template your space, fabricate your surfaces, and install the finished work, then follow the project through to the end.

What it means for you

  • One point of contact from your first consultation to the final walkthrough.
  • Decisions made once, with design, build, and install all at the table.
  • Direct sourcing, which helps us deliver the quality you chose at the best price we can.

If you are planning a kitchen, a bath, or a larger renovation, book a consultation and we will walk through it together.
